This year’s conference
(January 18, 2008 at UW-M) contained some of the usual and much needed information
about racism and white privilege. However, we are
beginning to transform to being a conference that is not
just about providing information about racism and white
privilege, but one that deliberately links people who
want to get involved and take action to efforts that
address situations that have been created, perpetuated
or sustained by racism and white privilege. We have
decided that addressing some racial disparities
within the region, especially in the Milwaukee area, is
a good place to start.
The State
of Wisconsin also has a
website which addresses racial disparity in the
state's criminal justice system.
